Prior to forming Spilman & Associates, Mary was a partner in a local firm and a vice president with a large, national firm.

Before joining the executive search profession, she was on the corporate staff at The Williams Companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also served as fashion coordinator for Younkers Department Store, a large Midwestern retailer. She also managed successful campaigns for United States Congressman, James R. Jones, and State Treasurer, Kay Bailey Hutchison, before Ms. Hutchison became a United States Senator.

Mary is a former officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Retail Executives Association Dallas Chapter and is active in numerous civic and business organizations, including CEONetweavers. She has been recognized for her performance record by professional organizations. She has also served on the Board of Directors of several civic groups, Girls Inc. committee to the board, and Dallas Women’s Association.
